The most important job I have is being a mom! ("yea, yea" I here you saying, "me too") I just have to say it even it is cliche. It is the hardest and most rewarding. Every once in a while I look at my kids I feel such a mix of emotions, love, hope for their future, and fear it is overwhelming. I want so much for them. I get to concerned with how to teach them, and raise them to be good people. That I forget that must enjoy the time I have with them now! While they are still little.
I think about my child hood. What I remember the most is not the lessons my parents taught me, it is the little things that made me feel loved. Things like family movie night, and game night, going to the zoo, doing things with my family. These are the things my children will remember too.
I don't usually think about taking a photo of something so simple like the kids at family movie night but this is exactly what I need to be photographing. These simple moments are what I want to remember when they are grown. I am going to challenge myself and you, of you are a parent to photograph more of the everyday things.
All a child really needs is to be loved.
"What greater aspiration and challenge are there for a mother than the hope of raising a great son or daughter?" Quote by Rose Kennedy
